Dani has tutored at Roses Gap Music Camp, Turramurra Folk Music Camp and CMVic Tune Up camps. Dani's performance background includes: Mongolian Fishmongers, The Big Bag Band and accompanist to Tiffany Eckhardt.

The MarimbaTaters

The students that make up the MarimbaTaters are in grades three to six. Students rehearse weekly in their own time and in the lead up to performances, they come in regularly to play — at times choosing to play every snack and lunch time!

They enjoy playing together and love nothing more than the opportunity to get out and play. They have performed at the Port Fairy Folk Festival, Pako Festa, Figment Arts Festival Geelong, the Geelong Waterfront market, for community groups, concerts and school activities.

In 2013 the MarimbaTaters met Deakin University's first year Education students, performing at their O Week induction event and participating in a music workshop. The MarimbaTaters assisted the university students to learn to play a marimba piece. They're great teachers!

Marimba Jamboree

Each month, Tate Street Primary School hosts a Community Music night. Marimba Jamboree is open to anyone who would like to play marimba. It's easy, and it's fun!

Come along to Tate Street Primary School, Tate Street, East Geelong on the third Wednesday of the month at 7.30pm, from February to November. If you have any questions, we'd love to hear from you.

A small donation is welcome to assist with marimba maintenance.
